When Trauma Narratives Collide

In 1992, at the historic MIT Abduction Study Conference, researchers presented a paper that still sends chills through anyone who reads it: an itemized list of more than twenty specific, recurring parallels between two phenomena that, on the surface, could not seem more different.

One is described as extraterrestrial medical experimentation. The other is described as organized human evil in a Luciferian context.

Yet the scripts are eerily identical.

Below are the documented overlaps that have been repeatedly noted by clinicians, researchers, and experiencers themselves (John Mack, Karla Turner, David Jacobs, Budd Hopkins, and others). They are not vague similarities—they are precise, structural, and often sequential.

Why These Parallels Matter

1. Same trauma signature Clinicians treating both groups report identical PTSD profiles, dissociative patterns, and somatic symptoms (chronic pain in probed areas, gynecological issues, nosebleeds, etc.).
2. Same memory-recovery pathway Both require hypnosis or triggering events to surface repressed material—and both produce vivid, sensory-rich recall that feels undeniably real to the experiencer.
3. Same cessation trigger In hundreds of documented cases, invoking the name of Jesus (even by non-religious abductees) abruptly ends the encounter and often prevents recurrence—an outcome reported in both alien and SRA contexts.

The Two Main Interpretations

A. Human Perpetrators Using an Alien Mask Intelligence agencies or cults stage traumatic events, then overlay a science-fiction cover story (via drugs, hypnosis, staged sets) to discredit victims. If you ever speak, you sound insane (“aliens did it”).

B. Non-Human Intelligence Mimicking Human Evil Whatever is behind many abduction experiences deliberately copies the structure of the darkest human rituals because it produces the same energetic or psychological result—terror, dissociation, and spiritual disorientation.

Either way, the overlap is too extensive and too specific to be coincidence.

The 1992 MIT paper concluded that the parallels “cannot be ignored” and “demand explanation.” Thirty years later, we still don’t have one that satisfies everyone—but the list keeps growing.
